Repair usually refers to matters of structure. Loose joints cracked or broken parts (spindles, table tops, framing members). Repair usually consists of complete or partial disassembly cleaning the joint(s)/break(s) applying the correct adhesive (glue, epoxy, resin) then reassembling it with the proper clamps.

Repair may also consist of gluing down or replacing loose or missing veneer, inlay, marquetry. Although, refinishing or extensive touch up is frequently required in conjunction.
